How assessments are made.

Selection

We assess specific, attributable and checkable factual propositions. Opinions, slogans and predictions without a testable factual core are not forced into a verdict.

Evidence

Primary records are preferred. Reliable reporting and specialist sources are used for corroboration, with links and known gaps shown alongside the assessment.

Verdicts

Supported means the available evidence supports the proposition. False means reliable evidence directly contradicts it. Misleading means material context, framing or omission changes its meaning. Unresolved means the available record cannot responsibly settle it.

Corrections and AI

Material corrections should be made visibly when better evidence arrives. AI may assist with research organization, drafting and code, but the publisher remains responsible for sourcing, verdicts and publication.
